'Strike Out Breast Cancer' Bowling Tournament

The Manitowoc County Women's 500/600 Clubs are holding their second annual 'Strike Out Breast Cancer' bowling tournament at Meadow Lanes North in Manitowoc on Sunday, Feb. 22. The event opens at noon with bowling starting at 1 p.m.

All proceeds will be donated to the Angel on my Shoulder Foundation, Deanna Favre Foundation and Sue Litersky family. Last year over $10,000 was raised and they are setting a goal of $10,100 for this year.

This is a fun-filled handicap tournament in a scratch doubles format, open to both men and women bowlers in any combination. Come with a partner or pick one at the tournament.

Entry forms are available at Meadow Lanes North or Meadow Lanes West and close on Feb. 15. The tournament is limited to the first 120 entrees. The fee, which includes the cost of bowling, is $10 per person with $6 going toward prize money.

Prize money will be awarded along with many door prizes and raffles. Screen-printed t-shirts will be available for purchase at the tournament promoting this year's event. There will be a light lunch following the bowling.

Bowlers and the public are encouraged to get monetary pledges as well as make donations of any gift certificates, items or baskets that can be raffled off or used as door prizes. Donations should be dropped off at either Meadow Lanes North and Elite Beauty Shop up until Feb. 19.
